It is documented that many of the New York style leaders in the late seventies early eighties were not into hip hop . Seen was into rock stuff, Blade into jazz, others into pink floyd etc. We were packaged Hip Hop in the early mid eighties, beat street, style wars, etc. They are connected through time/location. You dont have to be into hip hop to write graffiti and many of its practitioners dont. Personally i like good music - good hip hop, funk, soul, ska, even pop if its done well........ Expand your mind. I agree. personally i think anybody who listens to a type of music io an attempt to fit their ideal persona deserves to be burned at the stake. people have a right to listen to whatever they choose, and i respect that. music can be a way of expressing yourself- but to listen to a genre of music to please someone else or to simply just to fit in is pathetic. but Ice T is wak. try: foreighn beggars, roots manuva, rodney p, evil ed, yun gun, taskforce, louis slipperz, klashnekoff jehst, raw dogg, kano, skinny, joe budha, blak twang, jurassic 5, blackalicious, skibadee... NOTE: nobody seems to have mentioned Drum n Bass??
